August 19th, 2012, 11:11 pm

i was already going through withdrawel from not getting my weekly dose of stripes ;_;

August 19th, 2012, 11:16 pm

@Dr. Furry: don't worry dr, we're working hard to provide the best service we can (?)

August 19th, 2012, 11:24 pm

Aww.. I'm so glad to see you found enough of strength and time to upload for this week! *hugs* My Mondays aren't the same without your comics brightening my mood! ^^ Yes, even though this strip is sad it makes me happy.. I know that past is past. Now they have each other and they are coming through this very moment of realization of their feelings to one another.. so beautiful..

..and as always lovely done strip. I love this abstract feeling to it, I can feel Fel's confusion and isolation, living in the human's world. Foremost I love the realistic try on Fel's face! Would she look like that in real, or is it what she sees when she looks at herself, that over exaggerated image of her 'cat' side?

August 19th, 2012, 11:33 pm

Hehehe life-like tiger with lipstick made me smile

August 20th, 2012, 12:17 am

Fel 1.0: Not Human, Vicious, Military, Aware of, and Willing to abuse her power, Staying aloof.

Fel 1.3: Not Human, Protective, Aware of and willing to use her power to help, Civilian, Trying hard to be involved.

Al 1.0-1.7: Human, Isolated, Introverted, Capable, Starved for Interaction.

Al 1.9: Human, Comfortable, Happy, Capable, Loved, Loving, Still Somewhat Isolated

Humanity doesn't cure things, it just makes it easier. Why doesn't the lady just start meeting online people? We're not all complete... I mean, I guess... We're mostly average... Sort of.

with out my dose of my life with fel i feel like i am missing somthing somthing man
kenno i dont know how you do it but keep up the great work man

August 20th, 2012, 1:18 am

I don't know why but the panel where she looks like a panther looks abnormally creepy to me. I really don't know why but every time i looks at that face my brain is like "oh f***. What the hell is wrong with that face. SCROLL DOWN NOW."
Good page anyways.

August 20th, 2012, 2:17 am

@That Greek Guy: It is one of the faces she sees when looking in the mirror. Seeing the non human in her, the things that the general public would call a monster. Something humans see in themselves too often and don't want to admit to. Fell is faster at the growing up and accepting herself than I am. I am over 40 and still feel like a monster compared to the rest of society. Thank you for a quick update Kenno. Hope things are getting better faster than you expected. :)

August 20th, 2012, 6:28 am

Another incredible strip. I missed ya last week, kenno. '~' I hope things start to work for ya!

We Love You, Fel!

We love you just the way you are!

August 20th, 2012, 10:15 am

For a moment there...

... I thought you were going for a Halo reference. 117 being the serial number for Spartan 117, Master Cheif John, from the Halo series. Regardless, I hope you will be able to pull yourself out of this rut concering money soon!

August 20th, 2012, 10:33 am

Great comic and great to have you back Kenno

August 20th, 2012, 10:59 am

A look into Fel's psyche?

Pretty deep that we get to find out how Fel has felt. Raised to be an efficient tool of war, feeling no regret or guilt. But now in love with Al and (at that time) feeling doubt; wanting to make him feel the same way she feels by trying to validate her humanity, DAYUMN. The panel where she see's that psuedo uncanny valley tiger face in the mirror really sticks. How I've always felt about the hybrids is that they aren't sub-human; they aren't LESS than, but that they are extra-human. That they have everything that is intrinsic to living as a human (self-awarness, empathy, all the same emotions, yadda yadda yadda) ,but with kick ass animal traits and super fitness and all that :I

August 20th, 2012, 7:57 pm

-tears up- *cry*

August 20th, 2012, 8:49 pm

And just what does it mean to be human? Feeling insecure? Having things about yourself that you hate or fear? Wanting to be loved, especially by the one you love?

All of those sound fairly 'human' to me, but I have a feeling that anything that is sentient, meaning being self-aware and intelligent, has most of those feelings.

August 20th, 2012, 9:55 pm

Nice Page, i liked reading it to the song

August 20th, 2012, 11:13 pm

@Original HatMann: The "container" defines the content to a startling degree when talking about personalities and world pov.

Fell and the rest of the hybrids aren't more than human. Her "animal" part of the brain is a weird mix of tiger+ape and it's different for every class/mix of hybrid...

Remember the incident where she makes sure he stays away from her food? Typical tiger/feline behavior. They sometimes don't leave even their mates to eat with them.

You say she is in love. We can't even begin to understand what "love" is to a tiger hybrid.
Tiger females only allow the males inside their territory when they want to mate.
The rest of the time (especially when they have cubs) they force them out as intruders.
We can't define/"standarlize" a definition for love and people are looking into the matter for some thousands of years.

Apparently she can tone-down/control the tiger instincts or his life expectancy wouldn't be that good.

Hopefully Kenno will provide a sci-fi explanation of the hole hybrid creation process that will counter what i just wrote to some extent.
If the the hybrid of 2 mammal species has issues imagine what lizard girl has to think about.

@Kenno Arkkan: thanks for the update.

August 20th, 2012, 11:21 pm

Lol i love your anti drug message

August 21st, 2012, 12:22 am

Oh that was simply beautiful...

August 21st, 2012, 6:34 am

I can't get enough of this art style, or comic...
Each panel is an amazing creation in of itself, each so unique and creative. Your variance and mastery of such diverse styles is in itself astounding. I don't know what else to say... XD

August 23rd, 2012, 11:22 am

i'm glad we both like daft punk

August 23rd, 2012, 9:28 pm

Human Enough

I doubt there's a human 'human' enough out there for anyone... We're all animals, after all...

August 24th, 2012, 11:56 am

Your beats are making this comic experience quite formidable. Especially with your livestreams...

August 25th, 2012, 7:35 am

@The Bearded Man: I just like saying with graphics what I feel with music, saying the same in different ways.

August 25th, 2012, 11:23 am

@Kenno Arkkan: This is the way to go. You got sick art that really portray those things well. (Also you're not afraid to change the style accordingly which makes the idea conveying stronger.)

August 25th, 2012, 11:52 pm

Best update yet?

I could go on and on about this update. I love the how the garish lipstick and nail polish makes Fel look more inhuman than human, emphasized by the strong tiger facial features in the third panel.

August 27th, 2012, 5:25 am

i'm sad that kenno didn't manage to do this weeks update... but hope isn't dead yet!

ps: imho anthros have their very own beauty... flicking ears, twitching tail, in most styles a cute muzzle and just like the standard avatar implies: they are great to cuddle with (as long as they aren't scalies)

August 28th, 2012, 2:06 pm

More please.

This is the best story I've read in a long time so don't quit, don't stop posting.

August 30th, 2012, 3:17 am

Fel is not thinking that the reason Al was able to open up to her might have been because she was not full human. Really a story of two people made for each other. One somewhat from the ground up.

August 31st, 2012, 1:47 pm

i must say im always amazed at your skill and your ability to express emotion and depth in your pages. i think this is something lost in almost all web comics. you have done an amazing job at it. the real tiger face to even the word human being used as the stripes on her body and the way each panel is set to show the contrast. well done man well done. and the last ink only panel. love the contrast

September 1st, 2012, 7:23 am

@rainman: Thanks! most webcomics nowadays are just a medium to tell stories, rather than depict somewhat "artistic" intentions, I guess. I just try to say with pictures what i can't say with script xD

September 1st, 2012, 10:47 am

phew, just read all through

I have to say this comic kind of took me away into it and I have to give you credit for that, 'cause sadly it doesn't happen very often for me. At first I thought it was just the regular sexy anthro and everything resolving around her, but I'm very happy to see how much depth the story got and how deep the characters were when I got further.
Oh and don't get me started with the ART. I've always been envious of how some people are so good in computer drawing and they make it look so simple and beautiful, you are no exception. Sometimes I would just stare some details like lips or skin or noses and I know that I just can't do the same. But hey, at least someone can.
I'm not sure what caught my interest in this exactly, propably the fact that I feel resemblance to the characters, how they got through their loneliness by simply being able to coexist with another very dear person. Also I'd say this is just one of those simply put good comics that just work in an unexplained way.
I'm happy to see how far you've gotten and I hope you don't lose your strength in the near future, 'cause you just got a new fan. Best wishes and luck to you, I hope your days are pleasant and not stressful!

I find your footnote especially ironic because your madcap art sometimes approaches my most insane drug-fueled fever dreams.

She shouldn't feel so bad, most lonely guys have a furry fetish. And society's become a lot less medieval in its definition of "proper person". She could probably bring home dead rats and his only complaint would be that they're a bit hard to cook.

Though I must repeatedly compliment both your ever-shifting art style, as I have never seen such avant-garde work even in the finest modern galleries of Prague and Moscow, and your mostly lighthearted dealing with the relativization of what it means to be human and a person with the advent of human engineering is inspiring and original.

Bravo. Now, on to more naproxen and acetaminophen for an interesting night's sleep.

March 20th, 2013, 9:19 am

I'd trade what little humanity I have left for her less human aspects in an instant.

There have been nights (usually) drunk when I've cried and tried to claw my face off for being trapped in his horrible ape-body. Having been born human is a matter of unending shame.
