Phhhhhfffff rofl, Central Dogma, for crying out loud, I nearly hyperventilated to death. You made my day! Did they exposed Eva? :P

December 3rd, 2012, 6:25 am

As long as they don't get to Terminal Dogma, you're still fine.

December 3rd, 2012, 8:36 am

One Question...

Was that Plum Island that they made the Hybrids?

Also, the old man is an asshole.

December 3rd, 2012, 11:34 am

I see what you did there

It's Mugger Freeman.
I knew she was his reincanration.

December 3rd, 2012, 11:59 pm

So...was Mugger a fatty since the very beginning?

December 4th, 2012, 12:00 am

Oh, the drama!

December 4th, 2012, 6:52 am

Impressive. Most Impressive.

I just love everything about this comic. The story, the random art style changes, the catgirl-lovin'..It's been a long time since I found something this good.

With other webcomics 140 pages might seem a bit on the slim side (remember those days when 100 pages used to be a lot? lawl) but with this one it really FEELS like a lot of pages. And I enjoyed every minute of it just as much as the first.

Thank you.

Important plothole #12231-VX½:

All the hybrids were supposed to be top-notch super-soldiers (except for the racoon lady). However, we see that an army raid almost annihilated an entire complex full of super soldiers. Later, chronologically, we see the supposedly the same army men succesfully engaging an hybrid super soldier, Fel.

If there is actual human super soldiers at the time, doesn't this mean that animal-human hybrids were completely unnecesary to be even made? Specially, after the failure with the male hybrids.

December 7th, 2012, 6:37 am

@Anonymouse: Well, they were a bunch of super soldiers, sure, but here, they were caught by surprise, alone, and relatively unarmed, vs. a death squad.

As to Fel versus the squad...Fel is still alive. They had guns, tech, and a whole lot of bodies, and Fel, unarmed and naked, survived. That argues rather well for the results.

For the people asking about Jacob and his lady friend - I sort of assumed that third door opening onto slaughter was them - that's why he didn't turn up - he was in mourning.

A "shit just got real" gekiga-style moment deserves the traditional art.

I would also never have thought of our resident fetish shop owner as a top-tier transgenicist. Books and covers, I guess.

I think she looks thinner in the above picture. Being pretty much locked in for over a year, even if for her own safety would cause anyone to plump up. I don't see how anyone with any part of a human heart could leave them to their deaths.

The page turned out soooo great! I am glad I was able toe watch its creation!

I kind of like the angle of them being their children--because they are. Although I don't have kids of my own, I consider anything that I have to care for and that care for itself to be my child. Hell, my cellphone falls into that category! Though I can see that old farts argument--to the rest of the world, the hybrids are abominations that will never fit in. Doesn't make him any less of a dick though. Just because you "created" it doesn't mean that you have the right to just...destroy a sentient being...ya know?

December 10th, 2012, 3:03 pm

@the-rippy-one: Well...if you mean "well" by almost getting KIA if it wasn't by god-sue yahoo answers, I don't even know what did you tried to say.

A single soldier could fend off a bunch of equally badass GI joes. Why not an entire platoon of hybrids do that? In their "own" field. Or why did they need hybrids if they had GI Joes to start with?

December 11th, 2012, 2:33 pm

@Guest: "A single soldier could fend off a bunch of equally badass GI joes."

Wait what?

"This one guy, could beat all these other guys, who are equally good as he is." That's what you just said, right? How is that even plausible (possible, I'll grant) - you have, functionally, a coin flip on each individual conflict, if the squad doesn't gang up on him effectively, and you ignore fatigue. So, you'd just have to, effectively, throw heads 10 (?) times, straight? As a best case scenario? And that's what you're going with as proof that Fel did badly? Really?

Of course, that isn't even the scenario here, and thus hasn't much bearing. It ignores factors like coordination, technically enhanced capabilities, and the range advantage of the weapons carried by everyone except for the one guy who can't afford anything more than a grazing shot or two. Who is also naked.

Doing well in this scenario isn't defeating the entire squad - it's not having your brain splattered all over the sidewalk within 5 minutes of the ops timetable calling for it. That Fel escaped at all would be considered a miracle for a normal soldier in those conditions. That she needed help afterwards means little, comparatively.

Why are the super soldiers useful? Well, look at how Fel got away - she did a standing jump onto the roof of a moving truck, and caught a ride without falling off. A standard soldier would have a)been hit by said truck, b)not been able to jump that high under normal circumstances, and c) wouldn't have been able to try it, given the injuries already sustained (which would have included the loss of most of their face, given that your average soldier generally can't jink around a sword cut the way Fel did earlier). Heck, she lucked out and dodged the first shot based on enhanced hearing, as far as I can see, and I'd like to see a naked human try that, period.

I'm not sure what you mean by field.
