awww poor babby.

Doggy Lady?

@Jaci: If by "doggy lady" you are referring to the "she was the bravest soldier I've ever seen" in the guy's story, it seems pretty evident in panel three that she died. She either slays or disables four of the red-eyes in an awesome display of acrobatics and swordsmanship, before (from what I can tell) she gets hit with a hail of bullets in the last frame, right underneath the "That's when it happened" box. I'm assuming the red-eyes who got his leg sliced (sword swipe and blood spurt) right before she died is the guy telling the story.

I'm also assuming it's mere coincidence that a different doggy lady was interrogating him personally here and now. Or are you referring to the fox lady (forgot her name) who normally wears glasses?

I was referring to the grey dog ladies, the 'brave soldier' and the one interrogating look similar. But now that I think about it, Mugger had a dream earlier in this chapter that had a dog lady in it too (or maybe wolf??)
eeeee Im confused and excited to see more of them

That wolf girl looks very familiar.

I love the wolf girl already! *^*

Dang. Beheaded /and/ shot full of holes.

March 18th, 2013, 4:15 pm

yep, unless it's unclear, the awesome jedi wolf gal is intended to be dead by the end of the acrobatic :c

Black lines and abloody wolf

@Kenno Arkkan: so the black lines are bullets and that last blood splash on the wolf girl at the end is a headshot? she died right there?

Well... I ran out of pages.
Sorta neat webcomic. Snazzy art-style.
Downsides: a bit too much cheese in places... and vote-whoring. And the comments, but it ain't your fault if you've got a crew of sycophants handy. Probably like it too.

@blackcat: Yup, I'd say it was the end.... and our 'cripple' saw it all and was impressed that she not only took on a 'doomed to end badly' fight to cover the retreat of her compatriots but made it count by doing a lot of damage with skill before she went down.

I Think Team Four Star Said it Best...

@SotiCoto: @SotiCoto:
I think the art style is unusual among webcomics and that helps sets MLWF apart. It is a bit abstract in places, but it's still gorgeous. The last few pages have been a treat because of the amazing lighting and highlights that give a nice mood to the night scenes.

The cheese? Maybe my perception of comedy/humor is different, but I just don't see a lot of that here. Though, some of it is a bit... odd (in a good way).

Vote whoring? I've seen several webcomics more extreme. Some have regular nudie incentive pics to encourage regular voting. Or they offer the next page early for those who vote. (The new TWC vote reward just happens to be Fel in seductive poses. For the last 3 months or so it was a Santa-Fel carrying a gift bag.)

Anyway, I don't see how a singular weekly reminder to vote could be considered "vote whoring". It's to be expected for any webcomic that puts value in voting. It's just that many webcomics no longer have confidence in places like TWC or they just rely on other ad venues.

@xpacetrue: I had this awesome reply all written up, and then the comment system promptly lost the whole damned thing with no given explanation. -10 points from the comment system. -_-;

Yada yada art style great. No point waxing lyrical over an agreement.

Cheese : Lets just chalk it down to my being British, and a proud pessimist / cynic / nihilist / whatever.

Vote whoring : Sexual stuff is a problem certain other webcomics have, yeah. Not BECAUSE it is sexual, but because they seem to hinge everything on it being so... This one, not quite so much.
Still though, I'm a serial archive-trawler. I don't view things as the passage of time so much as the passage of pages... and if every single page is a detailed plea for attention and votes, it does kinda feel like having my face shoved in it. Then again, I also appreciate that the average dim-witted pleb out there probably needs constant reminders or it just won't spark in their hollow little brain-cavities... poor bastards.
Short version: I'm seeing all this from a different perspective to most, and my votes until the end of time are pretty much already accounted for... so... whatever.

Anyway... I was pretty much saying this comic is "kinda neat"... which, not that you'd know it in this world of rampant positivity-enforcement, is one of the higher marks I give.
